As we told you in this other post about Menorcan delicatessen products, we are fans of local flavors and we continue to enjoy them even in winter.

The problem comes when you make a trip to Menorca in winter and you are looking for a good restaurant for lunch or dinner and you see that many of the ones recommended to you, are closed out of season and it is difficult to find an appetizing restaurant. We leave you our recommendation that we are sure will be very useful.

Sa Punta €€€€€

We could not begin this list of recommendations of restaurants in Menorca open in winter without starting with Sa Punta, undoubtedly our favorite, for its wonderful views, for the elaboration of its dishes, its wine cellar and its friendliness.

It is clearly a safe bet, where you will not fail if you have to take someone, going to Sa Punta is a good plan in itself.

The Grill. € €€

Another classic open all year round, it is the trendy place for parties and specialists in making a big mess in summer. The reference place to dine and have a good time, in winter it is quieter but still eating just as well. The grill never fails you and it is lucky that it is open all year round, it is very close to the airport and sometimes it has saved us a good meal as soon as we landed while they were preparing the rental house.

If you go to Menorca for years surely you know it or you have been there, it is one of the classics of all the life, one of those restaurants that never fails you. The restaurant that your grandfather liked to go to. The best thing is its typical Menorcan cuisine. Don’t forget to book a table if you go on weekends. It is a “kids friendly” restaurant where you will come back for sure.

Sa Lliga Maritim € € €

They say they create Mediterranean and we couldn’t agree more.

It is in the port of Mahón and we love it to have a vermouth after walking around the area. It has a very correct price for the excellent quality of its dishes.

Another plus is that they have a lunch menu.

If you are in Menorca for Christmas, note that Sa Lliga Maritím even offers special menus for New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and Epiphany.

✅ Be sure to try their chipirones and black garlic pan bao.

We love this restoration project of the Torret farmhouse, which years ago was an old sandstone quarry, has more than 20 years of experience and it shows in every bite.

We could say that it is Menorcan cuisine updated and with a personal touch of its chef Daniel G. Mora, who has raised its offer to a concept of typical cuisine of the island but creative. His wife helps him and puts soul.

Winter: open Fridays and Saturdays at noon and evening and Sundays at noon.

✅ They have a wine cellar with more than 300 wines, put them to the test and ask for your favorite, they will have it for sure and if not, they will advise you very wisely.

Alma Salada. €€€.

100% Menorcan culinary experiences by Menorcan Richard Tejada, who, as they themselves say, “can give you the name and surname of everything you eat”.

You will be eating next to the sea and it is the closest restaurant of our villas, it does not open in the middle of winter but it is quite long in the months it is open. Highly recommended

✅ The only place where you will taste the partridge paella with cabbage, wonderful. There is also the option of take away to take home or catering for boats. .

Nautical Binisafua €

They close in winter but they are the ones that close the latest around November 1st, perfect for your late fall getaway. It is only 5 minutes drive from our villas and we love it for its menu and for its wonderful sea views from all the tables and its quiet terrace. I do not recommend it on windy or cold days.

Bar Binidali Som Sis €

A corner that fills the soul, with just 6 tables this small bar has everything we understand as great luxury, unbeatable views from the top of the cliff, with a quiet terrace, good atmosphere, good music and good cocktails. The cuisine is not sophisticated but although they have a small kitchen, they have some of the most appetizing tapas. It closes in winter but they usually extend the season until November 15th.

✅ If you have a last minute flight, I recommend coming to watch the sunset and have a snack for dinner. The best way to say goodbye to the island until next time.

Es Cranc €€€€€

What would your getaway to Menorca be without a arroz caldoso con Langosta? This restaurant is a must stop, really a gastronomic experience. They only have quality product with the highest intensity of flavor.

Located in Fornells, this restaurant closes only two months in the middle of winter, so it will be your great asset for an autumn or spring getaway.

✅ Reservations are necessary (971 376 442) as it is always full. If you think it will be a nice day, ask for the terrace which is very pleasant.

Chivito Bar or Chéspir €.

Going for a walk in Cales Font in winter is one of my favorite plans. The calm of the promenade between boats and the few restaurants that are open make it a paradise. It really is a very local plan, the best places to have a bravas and a vermouth with a nice sun.
