Binibeca Vell Beach
The beaches of the south of Menorca differ from those of the rest of the island by natural pools of salt water with white sand, which makes their waters have an incredible turquoise color. Many of these beaches are surrounded by pine forests or local vegetation, wild olive trees or broom.
Access to the most famous beaches can be done by car and parking in the car parks set up for it, they usually have paths with an intense smell of Mediterranean gardens that lead to the beach.
One of the best beaches on the entire island is Binibeca Vell beach , it is really comfortable to go with children, its white sand and especially its shallow depth and services make it have the perfect balance between wild nature and comfort. It has public toilets and you can rent hammocks with straw umbrellas. Its charming Bucaneros beach bar is a classic on the island, its old wooden tables anchored to the rocks and its straw umbrellas, in addition to its delicious food, make Binibeca Vell beach a great option.
If you are loaded and you prefer to save yourself the walk, you can also go by car in just 3 minutes, it is easy to park there even in the middle of August and you can go directly to the main access door. The Bucaneros beach bar does not accept reservations, so go ahead and have an aperitif patiently while you wait for a table.
In high season, as in any tourist destination, the beach of Binibeca Vell is usually crowded and loses its charm somewhat, but do not give up, simply by getting up a little early or going to the beach in the late afternoon to do paddle surfing, for example, you can enjoy it as well. Another option is not to forget your diving goggles and spend the day soaking near the rocks, you will find thousands of fish and much less people, but be careful with the boats that are anchored a little further inland.
